If I recall correctly, one of the most shocking episodes of FAME involved Danny being drunk and killing one of the series regulars. I know who it is but won't reveal it here. My question is does anyone remember if he went to jail or not because of this?

nope he didn't and he didn't kill the student another drunk driver hit Danny and this one character - and the character died; Danny got hurt severely.

You are on the right track! Danny and Nicole were being driven home by another student, who was drunk. The drunk student hit a pole, injuring Danny and the drunk student driver but Nicole was killed. Danny blamed himself because he opened the door for Nicole so she could get into the car with the drunk student driver. A police officer told Jesse that the drunk student driver would probably only get probation because it was his first offense. I just watched this episode. It has a very powerful message.
