Worst Singing performance

What was the worst singing performance on FAME?

My vote is Bruno's performance of Murphy's Blues in the
Season 2 episode "Friendship Day."

Bruno was my favorite character, but that performance was cringe-worthy.

'Mannequin'.

Bless Gene Anthony Ray, he was a demon dancer but his singing voice was painful.

You can't sell horse tranquilisers to a midget!

Lori Singer's "It's Gonna Be A Long Night." It's like a bad American Idol audition.

reply

Yeah, sorry, any Lori Singer number.

reply

That "Maxi" girl from Season 6. Just painful...

reply

Any Danny, Leroy, or Bruno singing number was awful.
I don't remember Doris singing particularly well, but she was better than those guys.

reply

I agree that Leroy wasn't the best singer in the world but I did like his performance of the song One River To Cross for episode where the african american students boycott Huckleberry Finn. Good episdoe and very inspiring performance.

reply

Danny, Bruno and Leroy were definitely painful to listen to. Doris, Valerie Landsburg was a singer but didn't sing a lot in the show but had a good voice. Lori Singer was just a complete bore to watch.

reply

I don't suppose it would matter to anyone that the Bruno character was never promoted or presented as a vocalist? That said, his singing was adequate for the song he sang, in the tradition of Randy Newman singing "Short People": I'm sure there was another vocalist who could have performed the song with more polish, but the song's performance was was geared to make a point, not garner a Grammy.

Truth is, everybody is going to hurt you; you just gotta find the ones worth suffering for

In Season 3 in the episode "Appearances," when Danny sings a love song to the Russian girl. I felt nauseous and disoriented afterward.
