When the remake goes to DVD since it bombed. That's the kind of marketing they usually do in cases like this, but I fear for the future of Fame seasons 3-6 coming to DVD.

i'm actually itching to see the later seasons to recall how stories unfolded--how characters were written on and off the show. it's been so long since i saw them. I kind of remember Cynthia Gibb in some sort of fairy costume singing Madonna's Lucky Star to Dwight at one point. And Janet doing the song "Dreamstreet" from her second album, a song I totally love. And Doris singing to a ghost in a mirror, and Coco returning, rekindling Doris's jealousy of her...Nicole and Jesse's romance...Nicole's death...crazy stuff went on on this show!

she dies in a car accident, and the whole episode features the reactions of the students to her death--kind of in the 'confessional' style they actually use in today's reality shows where it's just one person speaking to the camera.

Probably down to rights. BBC and RAI were involved in the production of series 3-6.
Actually - if it wasn't for the Beeb, the later series may not have been made... was a MASSIVE hit over here - airing after Tomorrow's World and TOTP...
It would be nice if Season 3 was on DVD. They are gonna show that season on Ovation in a week or two. Don't really care if 4,,5, and 6 don't get to DVD.
what i find annoying is that they released season 1--then REPACKAGED and rereleased it WITH season 2--when they could have brought us season 2 AND 3. I don't know why they don't just release season 3&4 together and then seasons 5&6 and be done with it. It saves them money in production and packaging compared to releasing each season separately, plus they can make the price a higher than a single season release.
