It's an interesting trip down memory lane for those that remember the "tight money" of the times. "Guaranteed 7.1%"!! Those were the days. Your current rate on a savings bond is 0.1%.
I'm curious as to exactly how the government expected this to reach viewers. Nowadays, it could just slap it on the internet, but that wasn't really an option in 1982/3. Or maybe, being the government, no one actually thought that far ahead.
Perhaps they were going to circulate it to schools as an "educational" film? Maybe just show it at conferences of some relevant agencies?

Titled “Uncle Sam Malone,” the episode never aired on television nor is it included on any of the DVDs; it was intended to be screened for promotional purposes at savings bond drives only.
