Was Ted Danson envious that "Frasier" had more success than "Becker"?
... on top of the fact that Kelsey Grammer got his own sitcom while Ted had his "own" sitcom, i.e. Ted Danson was the glue that held "Cheers" together, although the show was not titled "Sam," nor was he his own boss like Kelsey Grammer was in "Frasier" (executive producer and such). While I am well-aware that he also OFFICIALLY had his own show, "Becker," that only lasted about half as long as "Frasier." In addition, as I implied in the title of this post, "Frasier" was much more relevant. Also, regarding what I said about being the boss of a sitcom, you'll notice that Ted Danson played a boss (Sam Malone) while Kelsey Grammer was in fact a boss. That's gotta sting!
