Interesting note with Daly and Gless on British TV recently.
Last year they both appeared on the Paul O'Grady show, a popular teatime chat show here in the UK. They also appeared on another show which I can't remember the name of and they mentioned that Gless took over the role a few episodes in (which most of us know by now) and said it was difficult to begin with as Tyne Daly had liked Meg Foster. Gless said Daly was very gracious to ger, especially considering she liked Foster and didn't want her to go.
