Rewatching on THIS TV from beginning

Wow, having lived and worked in the same area of NYC during the time this show was being filmed and having seen every episode when they originally aired, I am thoroughly enjoying my three hours on Sunday evening to rewatch every episode. Loved these two ladies working together and all their male costars as well and although I can't remember things that happened to me last week (senior moments) I still remembered all their names (characters and actors) before the show began airing again. Funny but after watching hundreds of police/CSI shows for the last 30 or so years I notice all the "unreal" situations now in these old episodes. It cracks me up to see Lacey running after "perps" in skirt, heels and shoulder bag with her gun drawn. And they seem to work on all types of crimes even though the NYPD has always had different divisions ( i.e., homicide, vice, robbery, etc.). I'm watching closer now to see what different crimes they will be investigating just for the fun of it. All the impossible situations don't spoil my viewing though. Still such a great show after all these years and hope to see the whole series all over again. And these women are still beautiful and active in real life.

Gdeser - Me too, and loving the show all over again. The first several weeks were wonderful, but the last two weeks have the show scheduled for three hours, with only one episode and two hours of infomercials. I am so disappointed.

How cool that you recognize the sites. That must add a great deal to the fun.

I feel the same way! I was born and raised in New York, just outside the City but close enough to recognize everything. I've lived in NH for almost four years.

One of the best parts for me is when they show the Twin Towers. It just comes slamming right back that, who would ever think those buildings would one day be gone, and how.

But you're right, love seeing them with their shoulder pads and heels, and purses too, running after the perps. I come here often to check out the guest stars and see what they're up to. It was a terrific show.

I am rewatching it too on THIStv on Sundays late night. I did see some episodes when I was a kid. I just started watching a few weeks ago. I was wondering the same thing- what the heck division were Cagney and Lacey, and Izbecki and Petrie supposed to be in? It seems like one episode was a robbery division case, and another was a missing persons, etc. I am really enjoying it though. Brings back great memories. And to think this show was saved by a letter writing campaign! That would never happen today.
