What is it R for?

That whole hilariouse part where the guy is like "We proudly interupt this movie to say, *beep* You" how can u miss that part

Well, this movie would easily get a PG-13 rating nowadays, but it got an "R" because PG-13 didn't exist in 1981. It's rated "R" mainly due to mature subject matter, sexual references, and brief coarse language (we all know what scene comes to mind, lol). Hope that helps you out a bit :)
