Coming to Blu-ray

I actually bought the abysmal Jekyll and Hyde...Together Again, just to have Student Bodies on BD. No regrets. Never got around to picking the movie up on DVD, and it's nice to be able to retire the worn-out VHS tape.
Once you get past the opening credits, it looks surprisingly good in HD. Taking into account that it's a very low-budget horror spoof from 1981 that hasn't been cleaned up all that much, obviously. haha There's definitely some dirt and minor print damage, but not as much as one might reasonably expect. I doubt it ever looked any better than this theatrically.
A solid release for a largely forgotten movie. Well worth the upgrade, even if you do have to buy that godawful Jekyll and Hyde parody in order to get it.
Pretty harsh comments on J&H Together Again. As if it's not in the same ballpark as Student Bodies, i.e. a very dated early 80s parody/spoof with B-grade production/writing/acting/everything. I suppose I would agree that Student Bodies is the better of the two, but only barely.
Come to think of it, I don't think anything in SB is as hilarious as the scene where Hyde commandeers the woman's car and finds her mace to be delightful.
