The Goofs section mentions that the 2 killers were on stage during the parade murders. It is a dream so anything goes. During dreams people can definitively be in 2 places at one time.

Not only is it "just a dream", but it's also a satirical picture. The writers were probably lampooning the fact the lack of continuity in most horror movies. Some of those movies have plotholes big enough to drive 18 wheelers through.
