shareI first saw it years ago when it was on TV, but I didn't watch it all the way through during some of the middle parts, and it had been editted for TV. So, it kind of lost my interest towards the end. I recently rediscovered the movie on YouTube, and I was laughing the whole way through. I love it!

I think that back when it came out it would have been hilarious because there weren't too many films like it. But for many people discovering it on DVD, it is nothing new because by now most people have seen so many TV shows do spoofs of horror films, also the Scream series, and of course the Scary Movie series.
Student Bodies does start out really funny. The whole first part at the house was really funny but the movie became less and less funny as it went along (not to mention beating some jokes to death... the comedy rule of three anyone?).
Having recently discovered this film through IMDB's quote of the day, I didn't know what to expect. Then I finally saw it, now I like it even better than Scary Movie! I'm going to make sure to pass it on to others.
share"Scary Movie" and its bastard cousins make me cringe more than laugh. "Student Bodies" has some genuinely funny moments, and in 1981, it was even funnier because the slasher genre hadn't been parodied or done to death.
This film is far from perfect, but I laughed at probably 25 percent of the jokes, which is actually more than with most comedy films. 6/10 stars.

Probably cause most of the kids of today wouldn't get the jokes of the genre of the 80's. Most parody movies of today suck. Besides don't you know movies of the 70's, 80 and early 90's are so great that directors of today are trying to bring back the magic of those era's in remakes. Directors of today really don't have much of imaginations do they?

When this movie came on my tv, it came on after whatever I was watching, and I love horror films so I left it on. I had no clue that it was a comedy too so I was like "lol omg this movie is terrible." I mean, I laughed but there's a ridiculous amount of B-Rated horror films so I thought it was one of them. So I could see why someone would hate it but now I know it's a comedy, I kinda like it.

It's hilarious. I have a notoriously poor sense of humor but I had a great time with this.
For reference I was drunk watching it and I absolute adore the films it was parodying (slashers from the 70s and 80s are my favorite films).
If you don't like this film you need to lighten up a little, some drugs may help.
