He is God, man. He sets fire to the screen for the 15 min time that he has. What a performance! He totally outshines all the other actors. Deserved an oscar for this one, he defintiely did but then how many can you give him.

Yes, I kept wanting to see more of his O'Neil!
He's got about 3 scenes he just steals. Love the discussion with Keaton about her using him. She was right, he was just too romantic for her until Jack got back.
He cleaned up the critics awards that year too. Sadly at the big shows he was only a nominee.
He has given other good performances, but this is the only place I've liked both him and his character. He looks his best here too.

Nicholson's performance blew away every other performances in Reds... of course, the other performances weren't anything to write home about. Beatty didn't seem believable as Reed, as I wondered the entire film what his friends & followers found so engaging about his personality and his message. Keaton was downright unbearable and I was unable to get any sense of the woman she was poorly attempting to portray.
shareJack was the only reason I watched the DVD for as long as I did, but couldn't stand Diane K.!!!
