It took Jack Nicholson 2 minutes to ignite the entire screen
From the second he enters Keaton's presence the film starts smoldering and within a few minutes he's burned everything up. Was this chemistry, acting, true to life or all of the above? Compared with Nicholson/Keaton the pairing of Beatty/Keaton was about as exciting as a bologna sandwich to me. Perhaps I am not supposed to care about the love story and just focus on the politics? I'd give anything for a moment of that smoldering chemistry...
