Marion with the shot glasses

She wins the drinking game in the bar and starts cleaning up, then we see Indy's shadow.... what is Marion doing with those glasses? She's like holding them up to her temples or covering her ears with them or something, and then throws them when she sees who it is. I never quite understood what she doing or attempting to do in that moment.

I just watched the scene here (which starts at about 1:40).

I never noticed it before but you’re right it was very weird. I guess they really wanted the mystical appearance of Indy’s shadow and needed her facing the wall to emphasize it but didn’t know what she should do with her hands. I guess they were hoping the audience would chalk it up to intoxication. Definitely difficult to comprehend

The shot glasses are probably chilled and she’s cooling herself down. There’s a line in one of the drafts that has her cooling her temple with snowballs https://vashivisuals.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/raidersdraft5.pdf

She just got drunk and almost passed out. I'd say that (although she has a shot glass in each hand) that she is just holding her temples trying to sober herself up. The sight of Indy was definitely the sobering moment that she was looking for.
