Does anyone think...

...That in 2100, there will be a book/movie/broadway show(/4-d adventure maybe?) of life in the early 2000's? If so, what do you think will be featured?
Just thought this would be an interesting idea...

Yes there will be many movies, books, plays etc. Suppose you travel in time and you are in 2100. Everything seems too futuristic and complicated? Well, you can always watch a movie about your familiar era (1990s-2000s) or the latest movie based on Shakespeare. Also, if you cannot understand the advanced computer systems you can become an acclaimed historian specialized in our era and no one will understand how come you know so many things about it.

I won't be here to see it, I'm sure, but my greatest fear would be that in 2100, the portrayal of the "turn of the century" into 2000 might bear a painful resemblance to what was happening at the "turn of the century" into the 1900's. Will we still be struggling against the same bigotry, hatred, and discrimination that have plagued us for the past 200+ years? I'd like to think mankind might be smart enough to come up with a solution that would afford every person basic human rights and not just the rhetoric. How are we going to deal with our greed?

That's human nature for you...though we hope it won't be around as much, though almost certainly some will be there for a few people...
Let's see in 2100 they'll probably recall how the Mexican immigrants to the US are frowned upon - except as labor force, and the border arguments. They'll probably show people divided over the Iraqi War. And they'll probably look back and shake their heads out how some of our celebrities or former prejudices and biases which still thrived 90+ years before the century's end, while being amused at how we lived without all the technology.
Hm. Hard to say, especially since we're only almost 7 yrs into it!

22nd century inhabitants will surely long for our age- a simpler time when the world had only seen 2 world wars, only 1 civil war in this country and a time before the Constitution was abolished- a time when some vices like alcohol, motorcycles and chocolate were still legal. They'll wonder how we survived in a time before the cure for cancer was found and be perplexed at how anyone could survive (or put up with) the not-so-common cold. They'll wonder how the government ever kept the populace under control in the days before mandatory location/ tax implants and marvel at the thought of how anyone could conceive a child without the benefit of a complete genetic profile.
