It was way ahead of its time, and might be ready for a remake. High budget, with the usual suspects. Arnold, if he isn't president, seems like a good candidate. His movies are right up the alley of where this should be. Total Recall, The Sixth Day, that kind of thing. Set it ten or fifteen years in the future, get some cool sets, and you've got a summer blockbuster. "

CobaltDuck-It wasn't ahead of its time. it was just not done quite right the first time. There is a huge feel that the movie is lacking some scenes.
Albert Finny's Character is pretty aggressive as a plastic surgen needs some transition .. or explination to make that believe able.

The HBO scene that was cut out with the naked paralysed woman Needs to be put back in. The took it out because it wouldn't make the rating.

But The REAL LOOKER weapon is ELF... (extremely low frequency) but requires LOTs of power ... and a simple Hement can block it.

A movie needs a combo of a "Looker" weapon Plus Drug .. to make it more reasonabley believe able .. so you would have to spike a persons drink then zap them.
