Here's one of the key deleted scenes
It's the scene where Coburn explains why he kills the models:

Unbelievable. And this is NOT included on the DVD release, even as an 'extra'? Insane.

Wait a minute... who am I here?
Thanks for that link. It's crucial to the plot of this movie.
shareIt's not available on youtube anymore. Does anyone know an alternate source?
shareAll right. It's not available. Can someone please paraphrase it? It sounds essential to the plot. I certainly can't contort my mind to come up with the reason for the killings, and it is obviously central to the plot.
shareDitto! Could somebody please explain the reason. I saw this in the theater and it still ticks me off. Why kill the models.
"This is the worst kind of discrimination! The kind against me!"
I guess once the models are scanned in the computer the company has no use for the living models. Like Susan Dey says in the movie, why pay the girls 200,000 dollars a year for life for "doing nothing"?
Also Coburn says in the "alternate scene" that I read about, is that it's like shredding old documents so the competitors can't use them. No one else can use their models so the dispose of them.
Smart plan, except for Daddy Warbucks being on the scene to thwart them...
is that what the characters said in the deleted scene?
since the vid is. o longer on YouTube -- can anyone paraphrase what it said?
I like the theory that DMI and RI's true motive was to brainwash the masses, and to do so they needed the most perfect models to ensure viewers were paying attention. the 4 dead models found out about this, thus they had to be silenced.
makes a helluva lot more sense than the notion that a multi-billion dollar company (RI) simply didn't want to pay royalties to a few models. don't you think?
