Tim Rossovich

Remember Rossovich from his tough thug guy roles in the 70's and 80's on TV and screen? I just remember him as the mustache man with the Loooker Light Gun. Those were cool. I always was affraid of this guy when I was a little kid. He was an ex pro bowler in the NFL and played a good bad guy in his roles. I have not seen him around lately. Anyone know what he has done recently?

This movie was probably the closest Tim Rossovich came to his 15 minutes of fame. His role in this film was probably the most significant role he had in his spotty career. Anyone seen him lately?

I wish!

If I saw him, I'd be torn. Should I run? What if he has the LOOKER device?

When I was a kid I couldn't help but laught at this guy in the scene where he was lying dead on the table where the family was eating breakfast.

Check him out in Cheech & Chong's Nice Dreams.

When you steal from Peter and give to Paul, you will always have the support of Paul.

YEAH! This was one of the first movies I remember seeing when we first got HBO back in the early 80's, and I just remember cracking up laughing at that scene. I thought it was hysterical. Even today, I just love the idea that this "family" is acting out this scene at the breakfast table, completely oblivious to the dead guy laying in the middle of the table.

Make sure to carry a smoke grenade and you'll be fine.

Rossovich was in my favorite episode of Hart To Hart, of course playing a thug. There's a great scene where he waits on a boat while a scuba diver (a former partner of his) is murdered underwater. He has a great line, "Sorry Larry, I guess I should have warned you about that stingray".

Tim Rossovich was profiled in an NFL Films segment a couple years back. When he played for the Eagles he was good friends with Steve Sabol (NFL Films is based out of the greater Philadelphia area) and they shared a place together, and NFL Films did a segment where Sabol got together with Rossovich Gary Pettigrew (another Eagles player who also roomed with them) and reminesced about the old days.

Basically his title was the Mustache Man in several of his minor roles. I mainly remember him from the 1984 movie called Cloak and Dagger. Hope he saved his hollywood money!

He looks so much like Will Farrell in LOOKER...it's hard to take him seriously as a bad guy when you expect him to act goofy any second...funny how later developments can change a movie.

He came out of college highly touted and was drafted in the high picks of the NFL draft. He's still remembered in NFL circles as the complete opposite of his characters in the films he made. He was a real big prankster.

He was voted one of the top 10 characters to ever play pro football on the NFLN not too long ago.

I'm pretty sure he's retired now from his media life. Last I read he was living in California.
