It's always a treat to discover another Cannon film because it seems their catalogue of films must be in the hundreds of titles. Their output during the eighties defined for me what an independent film meant. It's a shame they never had enough faith in their films to keep them in the theaters long enough to gain traction. Time has been kind to their films, as they keep appearing in different markets and their competitors at the time have disappeared.

Cannon Films made some underrated titles. My favorite is TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 2. I got X-RAY on VHS recently, gonna watch it as soon as I can, check it out. Made by the same people as LAST AMERICAN VIRGIN, another Cannon film.

Wow, I tried collecting the titles but there are so many that I knew I'd never complete it. If you can find it, look for a book called "Hollywood A Go Go" by Andrew Yule. It has a pretty complete list of films that Yoram Globus and Menahem Golan were involved in from their entire film careers. The book is a bit of a dry read, but insightful into the financial dealings that made them so prolific!
