...that when the principal introduces the older sister in the auditorium he refers to her as "Laura's dead sister." WTF?

Can't say I noticed that, and I watched it just yesterday. You're probably right, that principal had more issues to deal with

I watched it recently looking for that part of the movie. I believe he says "Laura, her dead sister" like she's related to Laura, whose dead.
