Disabled Male Working At Camp = Woke

Pretty woke to have a disabled man working at camp. He was getting hit on by the girl too, a reversal of gender norms. These Friday the 13th movies keep dropping woke bombs everywhere. My brain is in recovery mode.

Indeed. This movie should be given a Nobel Peace prize!

That's why the franchise is dead. Instead of intelligent, thought out storytelling, like in the original. We get this shoehorned-in quota filling and pandering. As an able bodied person, I feel alienated.

Plus they don't even let him have a proper hero's arc. It's really racist towards wheelchairs if you think about it.

reply

The original was a wokefest, too. A skinny 50 year old non-binary looking woman Mrs. Voorhees killing a bunch of young fit straight white males and throwing their bodies around like they are wet noodles. The final fight was 2 women. Couldn't be any more woke if Robin DiAngelo herself tried to write it.

As to the shoehorned quota for Part 2, it was about 15 able bodied people and 1 disabled straight white male. I agree that there are way too many disabled people in the movie. That number "1" is out of control wokeness, really pandering to disabled people.

And then they went full woke with the third movie. In 3-D.

For centuries, men and women have managed fine with the understanding that there are only two axes. The horizontal X axis and the vertical Y axis. But they had to go and promote this third axis that nobody understands. Like, what are we supposed to call it the "through" axis, the "back" axis? You'll probably get shot down and cancelled if you use the wrong term for it. Anyway they chose the right letter for it. Z. I am literally falling asleep having all this weird cartesian diversity rammed down my throat.

Well, Part 3 did have the biker gang with the white guy, the black guy, and the black woman. I bet there were people in the audience yelling, "Woke diversity pandering boxes checked!" while everyone laughed while wearing their 3-D glasses and eating popcorn. People took wokeness less seriously back then.

reply

You mean sheeple took wokeness less seriously back then.

Cool guys like us pointed it out when they forced equality on us back then. Like depicting women driving jeeps. Yeah, right.

reply

No, because back then nobody was so racist that they watched movies and television only to see if "people of color" were in them. That's 21st century racism brought to you buy the same party that fought to keep slavery alive and founded the KKK. In other words, America's jackasses.

reply

Sure, they did. Black people on TV was a big deal back then. A lot of people didn't mind it but a lot of people wanted the blacks to get off their damn TV's. Damn racists, such a shame.

But the fact remains that the gang was 2 blacks and 1 white, including 1 black woman. Not to mention violent biker gangs are usually associated with whites but Steve Miner showed us that blacks can be violent bikers, too...even black women. Steve Miner could've easily made the biker gang be the default of 3 "straight white males," but he did not. Usually movies like these are as white as snow. Seeing a few blacks makes some people think that things are getting out of control. "I see 57,000 whites and 2 blacks!!!!! WTF!!!!!!"

But, I also do believe that white people do unironically add to the diversity, but then again I am so woke that I can't even see anymore. I am levels above woke.

reply

I respect your honesty. Do remember, however, the movie broke a major rule of wokism and allowed the characters "of color" to die. Because in real life, only straight white males die.

reply

Well the joke used to be that black characters always die first in horror movies. So if someone wanted to change it up where a black character survives at the end, that is fine by me. In Part 5, Reggie the heroic black character survived at the end with a white woman. Black and white getting along. But the token black character also died in the movie and Part 5 was pretty woke as well.

I don't think a rule of woke is that the blacks can't die. But, I do understand trying to make a black character last longer.

Remember a lot of people were pissed that Duane Jones was cast as Ben in Night of the Living Dead way back in 1968. One could say George Romero was woke for casting a black as a main character. Of course, he got shot at the end by a white man who mistook him for a zombie. Racist? Possibly...but I doubt it. However, just his presence in the movie pissed off people who wanted them to add another white to the movie which already had 8 million whites in it.

My boy scout camp had a counselor in a wheelchair. It was at least five years before this movie came out.

reply

I always took woke for forced diversity. Many people with a disability work at camps, sometimes they even do a good job.

reply

But was he getting hit on by a fully functioning straight white woman? These movies have woke bombs exploding all over the place. Have you ever seen Part 5? They had a token black and an actual heroic black character. It's like they were making a joke about token black characters while simultaneously making a woke serious black character. They could've went with 2 more straight whites...but they didn't. Greatest country in the world!

reply

And the one black counselor didn't get killed. He was among the lucky ones that got spared for staying out late.

reply

Forgot about that guy. Movie just gained massive woke points.
