"I'm your huckleberry."-Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday in Tombstone
I just find him to be a big, scary, and ANGRY bear who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Too bad he didn't have any lines though.

What do you mean "too bad"? I think him having lines would've killed it.
"HOPSCOTCH!"
Well... he's the only significant animal that didn't have any lines whatsoever, implying that he's nothing more than a ferocious beast rather than an animal of the forest. Even the grouchy badger had some lines. The only other significant character that didn't have any lines would be Squeeks, and he was used as comic relief.

I agree with trisp. Much better that it had zero lines. Made it much more menacing, effective, and dare I say symbolic.
shareI wish he'd knocked Copper out. Not enough to kill him, but just knock him unconscious (sp?) long enough to kill the old man. :)
"It's what people know about themselves inside that makes them afraid."
He was a little oversized, but served his purpose right. Great character.

Did not see that coming when I was a kid, did not see it coming when I grew up. Must have been a mental block. Well executed and quite terrifying.
