My favorite Disney movie

I loved this movie as a kid, and still love it as an adult. As a kid I loved the story even if it was sad, and saw a bit of myself in Tod. As an adult I appreciate the social commentary, and appreciate the emotion behind everything.

I think what really made me like it so much is that it didn't water down the message for kids. There is no ideal happy ending where everyone gets everything they want, it's just "Things are the way they are. We can't change it, but we can remember good times. Life isn't always happy. The End. Deal with it"

Getting that message young really helped shape a big part of my personality. It was also nice, as it treated kids like adults, like no film I'd ever seen before. Anybody else love this movie as much as I do?
