What's with Copper?
Now that I'm older I noticed that when Copper was a puppy he strongly resembles a basset hound much in the body and face structure but when he gets older he's like a really skinny blood hound anyone else notice this?

i think he was just a stumpy legged pup is all. didn't one of them make the comment about how they'd changed? besides, my beagle had little stumpy legs as a pup and grew to be a 15" hound who had normal lean legs. So it most likely was that. But yes he does look like a basset in the face too. Perhaps he grew into his skin

Whenever I see Copper, I feel like he is a Beagle, especially when he grows up. He has the trademark colours, and his whole body shape is similiar. Beagles also come in varieties of height, and they can become much bigger then a grown fox.
The puppy version, however, looks like a basset-beagle mix. Very strange.
I've always thought he was either a coonhound or a foxhound (which would make sense).
shareI always assumed he was a bloodhound
