Widow Tweed leaving Tod in the woods

Any grown men ever lose it at this part? I saw it once a long time ago when I was a kid but I didn't really find it that sad. Flash forward to fall of 2014, someone posted this on their Facebook when they had to put their dog to sleep. I found it very sad. Then in January 2015, my cat got sick and we had to put her to sleep. I put the same words on my own Facebook post with a pic of my cat as a little kitten and I was a mess. I was still 25 at the time, and even today watching it again, I almost started crying again, lol. My younger cousin recently had to put her cat down that my Grandpa (now deceased) found behind a trash can as a kitten back in 1999.

The look on Tweed's face when she has to drop him off and that damn music . . .  also the fact that Tod was hated by his best friend. I really hope me and my 3 best friends will always stick together no matter what, even if I haven't known them for that long.

Yep. Never found it sad as a kid. Bawled my eyes out as an adult.

I'm 18, and I still lose it every time I see that scene. The Fox and the Hound, Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey, and The Land Before Time are the only movies where no matter how many times I watch them, I still cry every time.

Yes, I think grown-ups who have lost their pet, or been away from their kids for a long time can relate to this scene.

i suspect ALOT of grown men say "I got something in my eye" sometime during this film :D
