The Duke vs. Broadway

The broadway crazies would have attacked him, they seemed really crazy and dumb.But I doubt the duke would have passed there.he probably had his safe streets, pre checked and secured by his men

If they feared the Duke, they probably would have let him passm, but no way to know, really.

Remember how it was said to Snake that everyone knows that The Duke had the president, that being said The Duke was the most famous criminal in New York, had a lot of men and probably paid a lot of thugs to do his dirty work to maintain control so no way would anyone that was intelligent mess with his car or bother him, now some small time punks and crazies or newbie criminals to the city might, but long timers would treat him with respect and be nice to him because The Duke had a lot of men and guns and would start killing anyone that bothered him.

So i think that The Duke would be left alone, unless it was a crazy idiot or a gang of punks that wanted to become what he was, but most people wouldnt bother him because the result would be death, hunted down and beaten to death or shot on sight, kind of like how Al Capone or John Gotti could walk through the projects and nobody would dare threaten them or mess with them because everyone that was smart knew their faces and reputations, everyone would know that The Duke had that car and that he is someone that you dont mess around with, unless you have a surefire plan to kill him and you better not screw that up.

Cabbie said everyone knows the Duke, so if they had common sense, they would let him pass. But they could have been so crazy, they wouldn't care. I would guess most would let him pass, but it would only take one crazy guy to start it up.
