Low expectations for a remake because

It's best to keep one's expectations low for a remake of this movie. Hollywood is always 24/7 full of upcoming movies and remakes that never see the light of day. Talk is easy to come by in Hollywood.

Back in 2004 there was serious Internet disucssion about a serious remake of THE ENTITY, due to come out either in 2006 at the earliest, then 2008, and then maybe 2010, by which time no one believed it and it sooned disappeared off the Internet, even off imdb.

Let's see if this purported remake has any staying power.

I hope there's no remake for this movie. The acting, music, story, atmosphere and suspense are perfection and I don't see any way that it could be improved upon. Many people think about the '80s special effects but that doesn't bother me at all so I personally don't think a remake is necessary. To me, this movie is a 10/10 and you can't go up from a 10; only down. So what's the point in trying to improve something that is already perfect? I know many will disagree, but that's how I see it.
