I totally agree, given my own reading and research on the subject of demonology. And in the movie, several people witness Carla Moran being physically assaulted by something that cannot be seen.
Researchers of demonology and religious authorities involved in exorcisms report the same manifestations of demonic infestation, horrid smells that may or may not move but will suddenly dissipate unlike natural odors that linger. Cold spots, often moving, are another sign of demonic manifestation. Voices or unintelligible mutterings are among the frequent signs, too.
The sexual attacks committed by alleged demons are historically scant, but have been recorded. This is probably because demonic entities, like angelic ones, have no carbon biological structure to harbor sexual or procreative proclivities. These beings as far as we understand, have no gender. That said, demonic entities understand that human beings possess a sexual and reproductive nature and may use it against human victims as a form of attack; including, rape, since demons know very well that rape terrifies human females.
