The single most impressive few seconds of acting I have ever seen

At around 49:30 when the therapist is leaving her house the first time, she is looking at him at first as someone she trusts, then there is a hint of lust/attraction, then a look of loneliness, followed by fear. All in about 5 seconds time. It is the single most amazing acting I have ever seen without any movement, and it all takes place just in her eyes.

Barbara deserved an Oscar for this. She was AMAZING!

Yes, her performance is one of the best I've ever seen in any horror movie. I get chills from her acting at several moments in the film such as the scene where where her friend sees the Entity's damage and Carla keeps repeating "You saw it!" I love her performance in this movie.

I myself get chills every time I hear Carla's calm yet quietly determined speech to the demon, at the college about how he can do whatever he wants...but he can't have her spirit, her soul. That it was *hers*.
Great lines, great delivery by Hershey.

I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.
Didn't he discover America?
Penfold, shush.

One of my favorite moments has Carla (Hershey) trying to explain her attacks to the parapsychologists, and her matter-of-fact-directness is so compelling and spot on...she deserved at least an Oscar nod.

When will you ever learn, this feeling is all you can discern?
