The son looked NOTHING like the mom
Who's idea was it to cast a mid-twenties Hispanic male as Barbara Hershey's son? It was too distracting.

shareMaybe you outta seek help for that.
shareHe's only a few years two old for the role, since the character had the baby at 16.
shareHmmmm......the main character is being assaulted by an invisible attacker and you're distracted by the ethnicity of her son? LOL. Really?
Was the father of the son shown in the film? Nope. So one can assume the father is Hispanic and she gave birth to the son at a very young age. Not too far fetched or distracting IMO.
I thought he was Italian. DO you hate them too?
If you listen to the dialogue you'd have heard her say that he's the spitting image of his father. Who it appears was Hispanic.
shareYou are correct. Some kids look like their fathers (which was the case in the situation), some kids look like their mothers, and I've even seen cases where kids don't resemble either of their parents. People choose the strangest things to complain about sometimes.
I've been waiting for you, Ben.
Maybe she was tricked into raising another mother's baby.
It happened to my friend. Her husband cheated and got some lady pregnant but convinced my friend it was her biological child and got her to raise it as her own.
She didn't find out until she took a DNA test years later and realized the baby wasn't hers.
you're joking, right? Is your friend retarded? She knows where babies come from, right?
shareLol what? How can a husband aka man convince his wife aka woman that another woman's baby is her's? The other way around is ballistic realistic, but this? Unless switched in the hospital, doubtful.

Why does the son need to look like the mom? The father of Billy was never shown.
He could be Hispanic.
"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."
Plus he was the WORST THING about this movie by far.
"Good black don't crack" American Horror Story:Coven
He was a pretty cruddy actor here in some scenes, wasn't he.
Especially the scene where Carla asks him in the car if he heard anything, the way he says "Heard what?"
was cringeworthy!

Carla gave her background when talking to her doctor in the kitchen. She explained that she ran away from home as a teen and had a baby with another young man, also 16 years old. I remember him having a Hispanic name, and she did say that Billy is the spitting image of his father. Subsequently she met another man and had the two daughters.
When the movie was made the actor who played Billy was only 20 years old - so he was playing a 16/17 year old - quite plausible.
Yes, besides her name was Carla Moran which is of Spanish origin so maybe she is supposed to be hispanic or just married to a latinamerican guy. You must undestand that hispanics come from a mixed breed from caucasian to even african ethnicity not just as Hollywood depicts them.
shareYea, Carla must have been 9 or 10 when she gave birth to him.
