is Sho Kosugi a good guy in this movie?

No he is the bad black ninja, Franco Nero is the good guy wearing white.

Sho played the jealous fellow student in Japan, while training and is considered a semi-bad ninja. Sho is amazing to watch. He does play a hero/"good guy" in "Revenge of the Ninja" and "Ninja III"

He's not good or bad. He's just misunderstood. A product of his environment. Bad genetics.
