Anything Different About the new DVD??

the cover art looks cool, and its supposed to have a new HD transfer, other the somewhat grainy Anchor Bay transfer.

but, any different special features?
this is what it says on Grindhouse.com

Special Features:

Rare On Set Interview with Lucio Fulci
Commentary with star Catriona MacColl and the late David Warbeck
Interviews with key cast and crew members
Optional Italian audio plus original mono mix
Lost German pre-credit sequence in full color
Necrophagia music video
Trailers, stills, posters galleries
Filmographies
Notes by Chas Balun

it looks like its just a reissue of a OOP DVD.

Am i right?
Should we hang on to our old DVD or buy the new one?

The extra's look identical to the R1 release by AnchorBay.

However "Spectacular new hi-defination digital anamorphic widescreen transfer".

I doubt a new source is being used. The two posters used by Grindhouse would say more about a possible HD print. The fact that the quote above is in tiny text, and not emblazened all over the website speaks volumes!

I hope I am wrong obviously!

They'll say anything to make you buy it of course.

Breathtaking 5.1 sound.

I've never had my breath taken from me by a sound :o)

Still - I may buy it.....

I'll still buy it since I can't get my hands on the Anchor Bay dvd (although I think the dvd is being sold at an aboslutly ridicolous (sorry for spelling) price.

I pre-ordered at a place here in my hometown. It should be less than $20, cheaper than if I were to order it from Borders. Plus, I also ordered Grindhouse's edition of Pieces! I hope they come in in time for friday, which is HALLOWEEN!!

"Well...that's my mama!"

I'm wondering if any of the places around my town will stock it. I think the only place the really has a chance is FYE and half the time, when I go in looking for a new release, even if FYE's site says it's available, they say they don't have it and their computer says there's no release... Ugh. This mean I may have to order it. LAME!

The cast and crew interviews and an introduction by Catriona MacColl are new to this set. Also, the picture and sound quality are noticeably better.

Given Grindhouse's treatment of these types of films, I'd imagine the transfer is *pristine* (no hate on AB, they do a fine job as well)
