Diamond rated R

Thats the version I got. How disappointed will I be since its rated R and not unrated?

reply

Very.

why?

reply

The R rated version removes a lot of the violence. But it seems that you are in luck since I have just found this info:

R1 America- Diamond Entertainment - No cuts (although Diamond has released this film under the American, R-rated title, the film is still shown uncut).

Gone have you?

reply

i watched it.

reply

and....

Did you enjoy it?

reply

not my favorite Fulci.
That would be The Gates of Hell (city of the living dead)
But it was real good.
It seemed uncut, but I wouldn't know otherwise.
Whats your favorite Fulci flick?

reply

Either Lizard In A Woman's Skin (uncut) or...The Beyond. One of my favourite Beyond moments, is the extraordinary scene where the heroine mentally retraces footsteps over and over again. Oh, and the young girl's head explosion.

Haven't seen Lizard In A Woman's Skin. It sounds like I'd like it from what I've heard. It sounds like it might resemble vintage Argento. Which is always good. Are you a Cronenberg fan?

reply

The odd thing about Lizard, is that you do notice that Argento actually copies a short scene to place in his Suspiria movie. It's a very good giallo. As for Cronenberg, I love Videodrome....probably his best work for me.
