I just started watching this, I was begging for the opening credits to start! This is really surreal, I think I am truly terrified at the moment. But I'm 30 and it's been probably 20 years since a movie frightened me lol. That damn shark haunts me still lol. But this movie is really doing something to me lol. I almost feel like I'm so scared I need to watch in segments like a child lol!

It's actually a very good film in my opinion. Honestly the gore scenes could have been cut short, they go on a little too long. Maniac is actually one of my favorite movies, Joe spinnel is a highly underrated actor, and unfortunately died way too young. Always wish he could have survived to get into godfather part 3. I also enjoy the film the last horror movie, which also stars spinnel and Caroline Munro. I own city of the living dead, haven't watched it yet. I'm a huge fan of Italian horror, mostly martino and bava. The last 20 minutes of torso I feel to be a great moment in horror, for an otherwise mediocre movie.

I will definitely look around the stores to try and find a copy of nightmare...
And how can you not love Caligula! To see people in Malcolm McDowell and Helen Mirren in a movie like that still blows me away
