Anyone know what extras are on this, why it's called "I love the 80's edition," and how (if it all) it is superior to the previous dvd version?

I doubt this has any special features at all. I mean, anything packaged like that is not going to offer anything new. It's just a repackaging theme that includes several older films from the 1980s so they can make more money. If they had new content, then it would be released as an actual Dragonslayer Special Edition. I'd just get the $5 DVD and steer clear of this one if I were you. You're only paying more because it is a newer release...not better in any way...just newer.

Normally I would agree with you 1000%, DFJ. It is the same old repackaging trick.
But, the Amazon link does say there are two discs.

With no information available anywhere, I'd bet that it isn't anything extra for Dragonslayer...IF the Amazon information is even correct. Look at the price! I read through the reviews and NOTHING helpful. There are other movies packaged as "I love the 80s" and they all claim to be 2 discs as well...with no help from reviews. The second disc...if accurate...is most likely nothing to do with the film itself. I wouldn't spend any money on this.
