I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this before:
Valerian: "Twice each year, at the Spring and Summer Equinox, the king selects a new victim. Virgins."
There is no such thing as a Summer Equinox. There are the Spring (Vernal) and Fall (Autumnal) Equinoxes, and then there are the Summer & Winter Solstices.
She never says Summer, she clearly says Autumn.
shareOk, I'll take your word for it. It's been so long since I saw this movie, that I don't remember. I was just going by what was listed in the "Quotes" section of the movie's page, where it clearly mentions Summer.
shareAvatar1140 has it right... she says Autumn and the subtitles say Autumn. Not everything you read on the internet is true... I could be lying ;) Honest mistake.
