Anybody read the Novelization?
Has anyone read the Noveliztion by Waylend Drew?
It really enriches the movie, focusing more on Galen's past and the his history of the Dragon.

I saw the movie as a kid when it was in theaters and didn't care for it that much. Then I read the novelization and really liked which made me want to see the movie again. I saw it again and appreciated it much more. As an adult I like the film very much and would like to track down the novelization again.

No, but I have the Marvel Comics Adaption in two forms:
1.) Paperback novel-sized, full color tradepaper back version.
2,) Marvel Super Special.
I found the Marvel adaptions to be a nice 'Dragonslayer' errata too. The 'Super Special' even has a behind-the-scenes seqment too . . .

I'd say the novelization would be fairly readily available from www.abebooks.com
I have a Fangoria special effects paperback book circa about 1982 and it has a cool chapter on Dragonslayer and how they did the puppets.
Was a full "making of Dragonslayer"-type book ever published, does anyone know?
It's not a very easy book to get a hold of, but it's a good read and it has some pictures from the movie.
I like this story/movie so much I read it almost every year since 20 years ago.
I did. I own a copy of it. It's quite good.
