Sound levels out of balance

I kept finding myself turning the sound level up for dialog and down again for scenes with music because the sound levels on the DVD are so badly mixed. Did anyone found this?

Yes, yes I did. I was watching on VLC player though, and was still too lazy to turn on the "compensate for volume changes" preference.
