Worst of the Stop Motion mythology films, the remake better.....

I said it. The remake was much better than this film. I was around ten when this was released. I remember the trailers on tv. I remember thinking how cheap it looked for the time. I am a Harryhausen fan but the effects in this film just were not that good. In fact they were worse than any previous RH effects. 80's film and 60's special effects just dont mix well.

At least the new COTT actually was good enough for a sequel. Which by the way looks to be even better than that film.

I'll give you this much: The special effects were, indeed, better.
The rest of the movie was a waste of film.
