Homage to 'Clash of the Titans' in 'Downton Abbey' (Season One)

The entire family (including Maggie Smith) is sitting at dinner when one of the characters starts talking about Perseus, Andrometor & the Cracken. The look on Maggie Smith's face is priceless, a wink to her younger fans who know her only from this & "Harry Potter". She makes a crack about the entire table going to need smelling salts if the conversation continues. Hilarious!

I don't watch the show either, but I do know several who watch it religiously.

Of course, the screenwriter for CLASH OF THE TITANS was Beverly Cross (also wrote JASON AND THE ARGRONAUTS) and who was also Maggie Smith's husband, so I like to think it was a little nod to him as well.
