It's similar to Friday the 13th (1980) and Sleepaway Camp (1983). If you like 'summer camp' slasher films this is a must watch (it ticks all the boxes of the sub-genre), if not then by all means skip it. One of the better slasher films around, just a level below the elite. For 80s slasher fans more so than horror or general movie fans.

shareFor clarification this is absolutely a B-tier horror film. Not high brow cinema in any sense. A body count film (decent gore) filled with shithead teens, containing some nudity.
Broadly considered a Friday the 13th rip-off. If you like the F13 franchise (I assume you've seen a few of them?) this is definitely worth checking out. If you don't like those films I can't imagine you liking this one.
