like most of you i saw this movie as a kid and can't seem to remember it. i thought it was one of the ghoulie movies b/c the creatures i thought looked like them. i only remember a few scenes. i know that it was a family working at like an ice cream shop and one of the creatures attacks a man. the next i remember is a mini golf scene where the creatures are. and the next in like a sewer and tunnels and they are searching for the creatures. from other answers the tunnel sounds familiar to make me think it is boogens but the tentacles i don't remember. any help is appreciated!

It's about these teenagers who plan to go skiing at this lodge and they start getting killed by an octopus like creatures living in the basement which is also connected to and old mine shaft. I have this movie on DVD because I recorded it from videotape. It's not as good as it was when I first saw it on HBO when I was a kid!

Yes, both of you are right that The Boogens is a
monster movie. However, let me clarify a few
things. The people who rented the house weren't
teenagers but 20 something adults, 2 men that
were miners, and 2 women who were their love
interests. The house was in fact connected to
the mine where they worked. Also, nobody got
killed at mini golf course, or at an ice cream
stand. All the death scenes occurred at the
house or mine.
