Oscar Grace

Detective Oscar Grace (J.A. Preston) is my favorite secondary character. In Stella's:

Ned: How's the cop business, Oscar?

Oscar: Real good. Always starts hopping in weather like this. When it gets this hot, people try to kill each other. (I believe he adds, "it's that crisis atmosphere…")

He has a wonderful voice and delivery. Preston has a lot of credits on IMDb, mostly TV, but nothing since 2006. Retired? In any case, Oscar really cares about Ned, too, but is pretty powerless to keep Ned from sabotaging himself over and over. I always remember Oscar, heading out to Matty's, waiting for the drawbridge. The music underscoring that is called "Better Get Him," which he's said to Lowenstein.
