Perfect movie for a remake or Sequel

This would be a perfect movie to remake or a 30 years later sequel

Sequel Idea: Bloody Birthday 2: Curtis & Timmy's Revenge

Remember How Debbie ran out on the Boys. Don't you think it be perfect for revenge on Debbie sequel

or just a remake

The boys were committed to mental institution sense they were so young. so they could be released after say 30 years they find Debbie & re-unite & the revenge plot is on

Hi, Professor197331!

I first saw Bloody Birthday when I was about 11 or 12 years old and it’s one of the only movies to ever freak me out. I seriously could not watch this movie alone; to this day I still get the creeps. Unfortunately, since Bloody Birthday is so obscure to even horror fans now, a sequel wouldn’t have enough name value for a studio to invest in. Plus, most of the cast and crew have disappeared off the face of the earth. To this day, I still wonder what would happen next.

As for a remake, Hollywood seems to have a never-ending list of horror classics that are going to be remade. So maybe one day they will go down far enough and remake Bloody Birthday. However I’m not sure I want it to be remade. What frightened me as a child was how old and obscure it was, and that seemingly innocent 10-year-olds can kill people over the smallest thing. A movie with that subject matter can’t be made today, or if it was, it would be so watered down that it would tarnish the name.

Considering this film has been around for close to 30 years, a sequel
can basically be ruled out. Not that many, unless you're a die-hard fan
of these types, know of it.

As far as remakes go, I don't see why not. It wouldn't seem like a remake
either since that many knew of the original. Maybe.

Tommy should be the Sheriff. Maybe all the kids can come back, and Curtis can be an escaped mental patient. Beverly returns of course. And she sets her sights on Timmy.

This film doesn't need a remake; it's fine the way it is.

For those of you who have the DVD, the late executive producer (R.I.P) talks about his plan to remake Bloody Birthday. His idea was to change the name of the remake to ‘Born Bad’. Instead of 10-year-olds, we would follow early teenagers.

I can actually see this being a hit! It could be cross between Cruel Intentions and Psycho. Most importantly, it’s only based on BB and not a remake. What do you think?

I wouldnt mind seeing a remake.
