Saw this at a sleepover when I was a kid

This was played at a birthday party sleepover when I was liked 10. Why? Why on earth would an adult a)rent, and b)play this movie for a group of little girls? And what kind of sick little birthday girl wanted to watch it?

It is a little odd that they'd rent it for a bday party for little kids, but I don't think there's inherently anything wrong with young kids watching movies like this. Just watched it last night and my 10 yr old daughter watched most of it with me and she really liked it. I thought it was a really awesome movie too.

Definitely if you and your child together choose a movie and you know your child and know what they can and can't handle, then go for it! But I had no idea what we were about to watch, no warning, and no one seemed to consider that maayybe a horror movie wasn't necessarily a good choice for 10 or so little girls. And I'm no milquetoast, I love horror movies now, but at the time, it wasn't the right movie for me. Not saying I was traumatized or anything- I barely even remember it, but I just think it was a really odd that the parents did it.

Now you're making me feel bad. I remember when I was about 11, I wanted to watch either Carrie or Pet Sematary at my birthday party. But some of the parents had a problem with that so it ended up not happening. But then again I was a horror movie addict since I was 7. I didn't see this film for the first time until about 3 years ago, but I think I would've loved this even as a kid.

Burn, witch! Burn, witch! Burn! Burn! Burn!

it is messed up. It is one of the worst films, as in horrifically suggestive and inappropriate for kids. This film and films like Children of The Corn that are hugely inappropriate to be seen by kids.

I agree. It's highly inappropiate for children to watch but highly entertaining for adults!
