Are you referring to the original (Anchor Bay) release and the newer (Mill Creek) release?

The Mill creek box has 9 dvds and i think
that Anchor Bay has 13.
Which one is better and why?
I believe the Mill Creek collection simply uses newer/better compression methods to 'squeeze' more episodes onto each DVD, because I've compared picture quality on both and honestly see no difference between the two.
But... the Mill Creek package has the DVDs in paper sleeves, which a lot of people don't like. Plus, the 'Deluxe' set from Anchor Bay (in the 'tin' case) comes with mega-cool extras (GAH cape, instruction booklet, etc.)
Also, I believe the Mill Creek set omits the interviews with the cast members, and just keeps the one with Stephen J. Cannell. So, all that said, I'd go with the Anchor Bay release if you can find it.

Ah, thanks! I got the first season from Mill Creek and am considering getting the whole series. REALLY don't like the way MC packages things. Don't really care about the non-DVD materials that AB offered, but sounds like they're worth it.
What we see and what we seem are but a dream. A dream within a dream.share
As I mentioned in another post, Mill Creek version does not include "The Greatest American Heroine" spin-off pilot (which is on Season 1 as a bonus on Anchor Bay release).
Too bad neither of them were able to obtain the original music rights on a lot of the songs.
