a Movie remake with Mo'Nique?

hmmm, I wonder if she's been approached with this type of project proposal?

All these movie remake things do are
(a) waste 90 minute of time since none of the old TV shows make good big-screen outings*
(b) look stupid
(c) tarnish the original

Can't anybody make a new show about somebody who moves in to raise the kids?

* except "The Brady Bunch", since - *gasp* - actual though was put into it...

They would not be able to remake this today unless white woman moves in to help look after a black family's children.

And then you'd have to give it a convincing hook.....like the children (who actually were teens in the original series!!) would need to have severe disabilities making effective self-care difficult. Wouldn't work otherwise.

If you DID use the original formula monique etc would have to be an editor or another professional right off the bat.

She would have to keep that editor job while adopting her friends kids. No way could she get away with being a maid in 2020 or beyond.

The kids would either have to be really young or have some kind of severe/multiple disability (why couldn't 17 year olds in the original series have figured out how to look after themselves??).

I was expected to do laundry, make my bed, load a dishwasher, set the table and feed a pet when I was in jr high. There was something wrong with those kids.
