They need to bring out a boxset
I was waiting for this to happen but then they just stopped bringing them out in the single series format. Why not just release them all?
shareI was thinking the same thing. I would love to see Time Life release the entire series. They release shows uncut. The year 1 release had some stuff cut out. T.J. Hooker is another show Time Life should do a complete release of.
shareIt's probably the same reason why only certain episodes of Magnum PI and Airwolf were shown recently on DMAX. They're probably trying to spare the audience from what it considers the episodes or Seasons where they think the show jumped the shark. That's just my take on it though.
shareIt is true that the later seasons of shows do sell less. I guess most people just want a sample of certain shows and they always start with the first seasons of a show. I still think the best way to get the best sales is to release the complete series at one time like Time Life dis with Get Smart and The Six Million Dollar Man. Magnum PI never jumped shark. It was consistantly above average for all eight years.
