I can't think for the life of me why they got rid of Markie Post. I get the impression that if she had stayed on, the show could have continued for several more seasons. I bet whoever was behind getting rid of her was probably kicking themselves.
shareWell Markie Post might have left the show to start doing Night Court because if you remember she was on Night Court for a long time until it ended but replaced the original person who was casted for the show. I would have loved to see her remain on the show but she did what she had to do you know in Hollywood.
shareYes, Markie did leave the show for Night Court. She had a bigger part on Night Court. The Fall Guy could have went another 3 seasons, but Lee Majors was ready to move on. I think it was the right move. They had a great five year run and the ratings started to drop.

Yes and I do remember hearing that Lee Majors decided that it was time to end the show. That is a shame that ratings were starting to drop. I notice that the longer a show runs the more work it takes to keep people wanting to turn in every week into the show to watch it. I will watch a show until it is canceled or it decides to end the run like for example, Who's The Boss did. I would rather see it go out with the show ending than getting canceled.
Then there are other shows that will add a infant to keep people tuned into the show because all of the children grew up and the show is no longer the same. I watched Family Ties do this, The Cosby Show did this after Rudi grew up the replaced her with another child to take her place for the cuteness, Growing Pains did this and even added Leonardo Decaprio as a adoptive son for a short while. This was before he made it big though.

Yes Markie Post did have a small role on The Fall Guy. That is sad to hear that she was being paid very little money. You would have thought that they would have increased her characters role on the show since she replaced the person before her. Yes she signed a larger contract and it did help Night Court out a lot including herself as well.
Markie Post did have a great body on her when she was younger and in her prime. I loved how she would wear also bikinis on the show so we had her and Heather Thomas to look at.
Now I heard about a year or so ago that Heather Thomas is working on a film script to make The Fall Guy into a movie. I still think on how Heather Thomas should do this is have Colt retired and his cousin Howie and Heather Thomas character running his stunt school that he created to help other young stuntmen and women to get into the film industry as stuntmen and women. By now Colt would be the head stunt coordinator of films due to him being in the business for so long. This is how the film should be done in my opinion.
