shareColts truck was a 1980 GMC 4x4 Fleetside in the pilot show and was later changed to the newer 1981. Sometimes they still used the 1980 in some of the jump scenes. It was always two tone brown and gold. Don't remember Howies truck.
shareThe jump truck was a separate truck if you ever noticed it looked like it had a toolbox in the back but that was actually covering the motor which had been moved back to help balance on jumps its gas tank was only 2 gallons and the suspension was held together with cable. You were right it was 2 tone metallic brown and had a large logo covering the entire engine hood. I worked at Fox back then and we would sometimes paint similar junk truck to match so they could destroy it.
It was 2 wheel drive. I drove it, don't tell the teamsters
